Jeffrey Weber, M.D., Ph.D.

Photograph of Dr Jeffrey Weber.Jeffrey Weber, M.D., Ph.D., is USC/Norris's associate director for clinical care. He is also chief of oncology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, holder of the Bearle and Lucy Adams Chair in Cancer Research, director of the USC/Norris Melanoma Center co-director, of the USC/Norris Developmental Therapeutics Program, and associate professor of medicine and molecular microbiology/immunology.

Weber's research focus is in trying to understand how to stimulate the body's immune system to eliminate cancer. He applies his findings to clinical protocols in efforts to boost the body's immune response against cancer and to try to prevent cancer from recurring or to prevent it from occurring in the first place.

Weber received his doctorate in molecular cell biology from Rockefeller University in New York and his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Following an internship and residency at the University of California at San Diego, he completed a fellowship and became a senior investigator in tumor immunology at the NCI. Weber joined USC/Norris in 1995.
